Prizren is a city in southern Kosovo, reachable by a drive through imposing mountains, deep valleys, and rolling hills. Sitting at the base of the Sharr Mountains, Prizren was the historical capital of the country and has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. Throughout the centuries, it has been part of the Roman Empire, the Nemanjic dynasty, the Balsic, Dukagjini, Hrebeljanovic, Brankovic and Ottoman. Today, it is home to Albanians, Bosnians, Turks, Roma and Egyptian, Gorani and some Serbs. The Prizren Tour will take you to all the major landmarks of the city including the Sinan Pasha Mosque, the Catholic Cathedral, Slavic Orthodox Church, the old Bazaar, the stone bridge and the “love locks” bridge. You will also get a chance to go to the House of the League where Albanians coordinated their way for freedom from Ottoman rule in the early 20th Century. On the way back, we will stop at a winery in Miredite for a short wine tour before heading back to Durres.
