Screening | Basir Mahmood – Basir Mahmood – January 9th 

Harabel Contemporary Art Platform is pleased to invite you to have a talk with Pakistani artist Basir Mahmood on January 9th, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Basir Mahmood was born in Lahore (Pakistan) in 1985; he currently resides between Lahore and Amsterdam. The talk he will hold with the audience will revolve around what he calls the artist’s trajectory, starting with earlier works during his career. Find out more here.


Project ‘Preserving Tirana’. The undesired buildings of Tirana – January 10th 


This project is connected with the emergency situation that is occurring in Tirana at the moment where many buildings are being destroyed or forgotten. This project is transformed into a website from where you can see from space different category of buildings that hold historic values. To learn more about this project and website everyone is welcomed in ‘Open Labs Hackerspace’, Thursday: 17:00pm. Info here.



DADDY G (Massive Attack) Dj Set – Minus1 – January 11th


Under the parking lot in the city center this great DJ comes, one of the creators of iconic trip-hop act Massive Attack. With a fan base spanning generations, these guys were pioneers of the drum and bass scene that came of out Bristol, England decades ago. Starts 10:00 pm. Details are here.

Ongoing Exhibitions

For those that love art, be sure to check out the Marc Chagall exhibition that is held at the COD Centre at the Library of Government Office until January 12th. You should also make time to visit the Kalo Gallery- an exhibition of contemporary art entitled “Convergence” which will be open until the 31 January. Lastly, pay a visit to an exhibition of the artist Flaka Haliti at the National Gallery of Arts but it’s last day is today- January 7, 2019
