On the 30th of June 2018, a group of local residents and people from Tirana will be taking to the shores of Durres to clean up the beach. I am not here to explain to you why taking care of our environment is the responsibility of EVERYONE and not just the state, I am here to encourage you to come!
We will be meeting at Hostel Durres at 9 am before proceeding to spend two hours cleaning up the glorious coastline. Afterwards, weather permitting, we are going to hang out on the beach and enjoy the sunshine as well as each others company. This is a great opportunity to do a bit for the environment, get outside doing something active, and of course, enjoying the glorious seaside. You will also have the chance to mingle and meet like-minded people who want to make a change to the world around us.
If you have kids, bring them. Harass your friends, ask your colleagues, bring your partner- the more the merrier! Don’t forget to bring gloves, water, and sunscreen. We will provide some biodegradable bags for the litter your collect!
